which of the followin has a solution set of {-5,2}

A)X^2+3X-10=0
B)X^2-3X=10
C)X^2+3X=-10
D)X^2-3X+10

mmmmh, I guess we should try if the given solution works,
I will do one of them, B)
if x= -5, LS = 25 - 3(-5) = 40
RS = 10 , so NOPE!

remember if x=-5 would have worked you would still have to check for x=2

now you try the others.
