Mon père met... Ma mère...
"au mois de juillet" and "au mois de janvier"... at the very end of the sentence, not at the begining.

#1 - don't forget an adjective has the same number (singular/plural) and gender (masculine/feminine) as the noun(s) modified. Look again at the very last word, which is an adjective modifying "sandales."

If you number these it will be much easier for both of us to be referring to the same set.

#3. If you want to say "My parents - meaning both, Mes pères is OK, otherwise go with Henri's correction. Then check the main verb: Mes pères mettent BUT Mon père met... and the verb "to work" is "travailler" so "Ma mère ne travaille pas" ... Do you know the difference between accent grave (`) and accent aigu (´)? It has to do with the way you pronounce the word. Look aat the word "student" because it has 3 letter e's. élève. That means the é is pronounced like A (in English, the first letter of the alphabet), è like EH and e like UH (as close as I can get to it; but there are 3 distinct sounds, depending upon the accent or no accent.)

#5. Actually you could put that phrase at the very beginning or at the end, but not where it is. Literally, you have said: I put on in the month of July it is ...

#6. Same problem as Henri mentioned.
