**Reiny**, Thursday, April 16, 2009 at 4:48pmsince the coefficient of the square term at the front is 1, I just have to concentrate on the last term.

What two numbers when multiplied will give me 9 and when added will give me -6.

mmmh?

it can only be -3 and -3

so

x^2 - 6x + 9

= (x-3)(x-3) or (x-3)^2

- Thank you! -
