First I would choose another book that had essentially the same focus. With Lord of the Flies I would think of a book or movie that involved the conflict of young people who are pretty much on their own. Think about Clockwork Orange, Brave New World, Catcher in the Rye, The Chocolate War.
Then take a piece of paper and fold it in half. One one half write those things which are alike; on the other write the differences. Then, organize them by importance to the message of the story. You can find pictures on Google or in Teen magazine to illustrate your points.
okay I will use the movie the blue lagoon
That has definite possibilities.
can you give me some ideas of what to talk about
First YOU sit down with that piece of paper, I suggested and do the list of likenesses and differences. What to YOU see as being important to the main idea of the story. What about themes, settings, characters, writer's techniques?
ok thank you I will try tha!!
