The period of y=5 cos pi x is 2 but I don't know how to find it.

Doesn't the cosine function repeat each 2PI radians? So when X=2, or 4, or 2*whole number, it repeats.

Thanks. I think I got it

To find the period of the function y=5cos(πx), you can use the formula:

Period = 2π / |B|

In this case, the coefficient for x is π, so B = π.

Applying the formula, we have:

Period = 2π / |π| = 2π / π = 2

Therefore, the period of the function y=5cos(πx) is 2.
