Biologists want to st up a station to test alligators in a lake for west niles virus. Suppose that the cost for such a station are 2,500 for setup costs and 3.00 to administer each test. A) write an expression that gives the total cost to test x animals. B) you can find the average cost per animal by dividing the total costs by number of animals. Write an expression that gives total number of animals. C) Find the average cost per animal for ten animal,100 animal, and 1000 animal.

A) 2500 + 3x = ?

B) μ = total cost/x = (2500 + 3x)/x, where x = number of animals

C) Substitute the desired number for x in equation in B.
