How many songs have the Beatles written total?
Also, do you think a song that the Beatles covered (such as "Twist and Shout") would count as a song by them, or no?

Are the Beatles still some of the top selling music?

The Beatles recorded and released 214 different songs on original release albums, EP's and singles, about 20 of which were not written by the Beatles.

I would have to say that the Beatles is still one of the top selling because they go way back and people of all ages seem to be listening to their music
