Change the following from the active into the passive

A crocodile is eating Henry –
A crocodile has eaten Henry –
A crocodile ate Henry –
A crocodile was eating Henry –
A crocodile had eaten Henry –
A crocodile will eat Henry –
A crocodile is going to eat Henry –
A crocodile will have eaten Henry –
They have buried Henry (note that the agent isn’t important)

First of all, use these as models:

Passive = The baseball was hit by John.
Active = John hit the baseball.

See the difference? They are saying the same thing, but with different word order and passive verbs.

I'll do the first two for you:
Henry is being eaten by the crocodile.
Henry has been eaten by the crocodile.

Now you try the rest, and then I'll check them over for you.

Make Henry the subject of the sentence. You do the first couple and repost, then I will make corrections if needed.

Henry is being eaten by a crocodile -

Henry has been eaten by a crocodile -
Henry was eaten by a crocodile -
Henry was being eaten by a crocodile -
Henry had been eaten by a crocodile -
Henry will be eaten by a crocodile -
Henry is going to be eaten by a crocodile -
Henry will have been eaten by a crocodile -
Henry has been buried (note that the agent isn't important)

To change the active sentences into passive sentences, follow these steps:

1. Identify the subject (the one performing the action), verb (the action word), and the object (the one receiving the action) in the active sentence.
2. Move the object to the beginning of the sentence and make it the new subject.
3. Add the auxiliary verb "be" followed by the past participle form of the original verb to indicate the passive voice.
4. If necessary, include the agent (the one performing the action) using the preposition "by."

Here are the passive versions of the given sentences:

1. Henry is being eaten by a crocodile.
2. Henry has been eaten by a crocodile.
3. Henry was eaten by a crocodile.
4. Henry was being eaten by a crocodile.
5. Henry had been eaten by a crocodile.
6. Henry will be eaten by a crocodile.
7. Henry is going to be eaten by a crocodile.
8. Henry will have been eaten by a crocodile.
9. Henry has been buried (no agent mentioned).

Please note that in sentence #9, the agent is not mentioned, so it's not included in the passive transformation.
