This is one of my english homework. Can someone have a look at it and give me some suqqestions. Thank you.
The Summary of English Grammar defines the major word-classes in terms of meaning rather than structure. By references to any one of the major wordclasses state the advantages and disadvantages of this method of description.
Advantages:
- Enable us to make comparison
- avoids irregularity and exceptions of inflections
- Easier to learn and identify the word-class and sub category
- Universal
Disadvantages:
-need to learn a lot of vocabularies
-Easier to understand
-Structure will be more crucial when constructing sentences
-Can cause confusion
-Ambiguous meaning can occur
-not universal
