How is new reporting different today than it was 100 years ago?

Some refer to "old" and "new" media. Here are some sites to help you:

On some of the more innovative TV stations and newspaper websites, I see blogs by some of the reporters. Their blogs take all kinds of shapes, from expansion of articles they wrote for the print version of the paper (including the ability of readers to comment and ask further questions) to simply telling what their next story/report will be about. There are some who use Twitter also to give their followers a "heads-up" about where they are going with their camera crew. And many of them also refer to all the texting they do!

The variations and innovations are just about endless, but we have definitely gone way past the days of print news, network news, and Movietone News as our few sources of what's going on!
