first of all: 6'3" = 6 1/4 feet = 25/4 feet
now set up a ratio
1"/2' = x"/(25/4)'
cross multiply (the units are the same, so we can drop them)
2x = 25/4
x = 25/8
so the scale for the length is 25/8 " or 3 1/8 inches
now do the same for the width
