What does it mean to resent the class system among students? (I think it means to hate the class system among students but even with that definition I still don't understand what it means)

Every school I've known has had several different groups of students -- many of which look down on other groups.

In your school do you have these groups?

athletes/cheerleaders
top students/nerds
cool, popular kids
goody-two-shoes
ethnic minorities
poor
rich
indifferent students

what would you do to resolve such a problem?

School administrations and teachers can prohibit bullying and violence. They can also be all inclusive when they choose student leaders and committees. Student councils can discuss the class situation and encourage students to include everyone in their groups. However, the social strata itself cannot be abolished. Students should be able to choose their friends and eat lunch with whomever they want.

Resenting the class system among students means feeling strong negative emotions towards the hierarchical system that exists within a group of students. It typically reflects a feeling of bitterness, frustration, or even anger towards the unequal distribution of resources, privileges, or opportunities based on social or economic class within the student community.

To better understand the concept, it might be helpful to break it down:

1. Class system: The class system refers to the organization of individuals within society based on their socioeconomic status. In the context of students, this can refer to social or economic hierarchies that exist within a school or educational institution.

2. Resenting: Resenting is a strong form of negative emotion or hostility towards something or someone. It implies a sense of dissatisfaction or displeasure, often accompanied by a desire for change or equality.

3. Among students: This phrase specifies that the discussion revolves around the relationship between students themselves. It implies that there is a hierarchical structure or system of privilege and disadvantage within the student body.

Overall, resenting the class system among students means feeling strong negative emotions towards the unequal distribution of resources or opportunities among students and the resulting social hierarchies within an educational setting.
