What is the name for the partial differential symbol (∂)?
I see some papers use greek lowercase delta instead (δ) where I believe they are implying a partial differential. Is this normal? Is there supposed to be a conceptual difference between the two symbols? Or is it just different styles of writing the same thing?
The rounded is pretty much standard notation.
