Homework Help: U,S History

Please help me! I am writing this article. It is an article prior to the attack on pearl harbor. I have to choose if 1) the u.s should enter the war and help the allies or 2) The U.S should remian neurtral in world affairs and stay out of the war. I chose number 2 and I need three more historical facts that will be back number two up. Please help me!!

The U.S. felt isolated and saw no reason to get involved in a war that was raging thousands of miles across the ocean.

We couldn't afford the money or the loss of lives in a war to assist our friends.

The U.S. is self-sufficient and doesn't need anything from anyone else in the world.
