How should I write the following sentence? (Choose the correct word in the parenthesis): Also, do you think the rest of the sentence is put together properly and makes sense. If not, can you help me fix it?

1. Joseph Paul DiMaggio was born (on/in) November 25, 1914 (in/on) Martinez, California.

If you say "in November" you mean sometime during the entire month.

If you say "on November ___" you mean a specific day.

If you say "in Martinez, California" you mean somewhere in the town.

If you say "on Martinez, California" you mean somewhere on (over?) the town -- which doesn't make sense!

You also need a comma after 1914.
