Differentiate between the offical coding guidelines for using V codes in an inpatient and out patient seeting? My answer: Can you please read my answer and tell me what you think? Please.
V codes are so nonspececific, or potentially redundant with other codes in the classification that there can be little justification for their use in inpatient setting.Outpatient settings should be limited to those instance when there is no further documentation to permit more coding.
