1. How do you know that NO2 (with a negative charge 1) is an anion and not ionic compound?


2. What are the SI standard units for length and mass? Why ins't there a standard SI unit for volume?

    Compounds don't have charges.

    meter, kilogram. The standard unit of volume is m^3
