Poem: Annabel Lee by Edgar Allen Poe

Could you check these answers that go with the poem? Thanks

1. After reading "Annabel Lee," what images linger in your mind.
Answer: The images that linger my mind are the kingdom by the sea, her grave by the sea, and the great love the two both shared.

2. How well is the speaker coping with his bride's death?
Answer: The speaker isn't coping with her death well becuase he thinks about her night, and day. He must have had a great love for her because she was beautiful.

    I agree with your analysis, brief as it is. You know, he wrote this as she was dying a pitiful death. So when he describes her grave, it is actually she in her deathbed.
    He only wrote dark stuff after this, and lived in depression for the rest of his life.
    Annabelle Lee (real name Virgina, his child bride) was 13 (he 27) when they wed, they had been close cousins for years. She lived 11 years after marrying, by all accounts happy. Her death was either TB, or "consumption", either way, death came as the lungs failed and she could not breathe, and the heart was taxed.
    All this adds to what you marked, but you are right.
