Homework Help: computers

I have this problem with my PC
The sound won't function properly. I've checked the volume controls and audio properties, etc, but they seem to be working fine. It's just that the sound won't come out.
I've also tried installing a new set of speakers, yet they don't work either.
Please help :(

Sometimes I have turned my sound off and have forgotten. Have you made sure the sound is turned on? You can tell by bringing up the sound controls and making sure the little box next to Mute is unchecked.

The only other thing I can think of is the computer's sound card. If you know someone who's good with computers, you should ask him/her to check that. Otherwise, it'll probably cost you some money to get it checked.
