Kayla -- I assume you want to work as a teacher aide, right? Then how do you expect to learn and be successful if you don't read a book or otherwise learn the basic principles of education?

If you don't want to spend 2 or 3 hours of your future pay to buy a book, then please follow Guru's suggestion and find the information you need on line.

  • SKILLS FOR THE EFFECTIVE TEACHER AIDE - ,

For future reference, please use lower-case letters as the teachers did that responded above. In computer language, upper-case letters (capital letters) is considered impolite --- much like SHOUTING. Besides, they are more difficult to read and many volunteer teachers won't even bother.

Now, please look again at your first question. Many of these can be answered with common sense. A. is definitely out because it is rude to interrupt a speaker. B. This is excellent advice, but, of course, you would not do it until the speaker is finished and invites questions. C. Just what good will it do to ask yourself? Only the speaker will be able to answer! D. Just plain repetition will not help you if there are things you do not understand.

Get the idea? Learning at home is still best with a textbook, and that is usually listed in any material you receive. As for the Internet, try the following search:

Kayla. You are studying teacher aide skills. I recommend you really examine your attitudes and feelings toward education before you go into that field. If you don't love what you do, you will never be happy nor successful. Nobody wants an unhappy grouch teaching their kids.

Kayla, I suggest you look yourself or you will never be able to be a teacher's aide. You need to try things on your own so you can do them when your older. A teacher's aide would never go up to a pupil and say "what is 2x4?". You will have to try this on your own. If you go to a school-call up a friend for a book to borrow,if your homeschooled-ask your guardian for help. I really do want you to be whatever you want. ~Mrs. Emmie
