max downloaded a number of tunes to his new phone. amy purchased a number of tunes that was three times the sum of two and the number that max added to his phone. what is the expression that is the amount of amy's purchase?

Let the number of Max's tunes be M and the number of Amy's tunes be A.

A = 3(2 + M)

You need more information to solve for M and A.

So the expression would be
