Homework Help: history

Hi. I know i asked this already but can someone please please just give me a straight answer.
I have to write a 5 page paper on wheter or not charles G. Finney believed that the first amendment's clause about the free practice of religion be amended in any way

You cannot simply state what you believe and expect that everyone else (especially your teacher!) will agree with you just because you stated it.

You must state your point (one sentence, known as a thesis statement) and then prove it. That's what the rest of the five pages are for -- for you to state and explain clearly all the reasons why you believe your thesis statement is right.

You are in the prewriting stage right now. You have chosen your stance and you have lots of information to read through and make notes on (brainstorming). Then you'll be ready to proceed in the rest of the writing process.
