Chemistry is responsible for the plastics we use, for the cars we use, for the medicine we take, for the food we eat, for the clothes we wear, for the paper you write on, for the ink to write with, for the technology of computers, for the solid propellants and metals used in the space program, and much more. In fact, I'm almost certain that you can't think of a single thing you do in one day that isn't touched by chemistry in some way.
