Homework Help: government

Posted by Anonymous on Sunday, October 19, 2008 at 5:10pm.

Long ago, James Prothro and Charles Grigg discovered a problem with the views of Americans on democratic values. The general public manifest opinions that are often contrary to basic values essential to sustain a democratic government. Political elites are both more aware of and more committed to constitutional liberties. How has the United States managed to endure with such low levels of public tolerance? Does this indicate that the general public has little input into government policy?
