7/8 + 5 1/2 x 11/15
In order of operations do I do 5 1/2 x 11/15 and then add the 7/8?

Since no parentheses are (but should be) shown, I would perform operations from left to right.
(7/8 + 5 1/2) x (11/15) = 3.3917
This will not give the same answer as
7/8 + (5 1/2 x 11/15)= 3.529
