Since no parentheses are (but should be) shown, I would perform operations from left to right.
(-7/8 + 5 1/2) x (11/15) = 3.3917
This will not give the same answer as
-7/8 + (5 1/2 x 11/15)= -3.529
Are you trying to say this disproves the Associative property? because the associative property is only if the operation contains all and ONLY addition signs or all and ONLY multiplication signs. Not if it contains both.
