Is the denominator after the 7, t or t-8? Use parentheses where needed fr clarity.
I suggest you recognize that
(t^2-t-56) = (t-8)(t+7)
and multiply both sides of the equation by that. It will simplify things a lot.
(t+24) + 7(t+7) = 3(t-8)
