= (t-2)/(t+4) x 4(t+4)/[2(t^2-4)]

= (t-2) x 2/[t+2)(t-2)]

= 2/(t+2)

It is important to show parentheses and brackets in problems like this! Otherseise the order of mathematical operations is unclear, and you can get different answers.
