http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hero
I have always considered a hero to be someone who goes on a journey of self-learning for the purpose of becoming more of a person than they had thought themselves to be. To me, heroes do not have to be conquerers or geniuses. They are people who took risks and dared to become the best human being they could be.
