We will be happy to check your thinking.
trying to figure it out so I can help my 5th grade son figure it out. No textbooks to help parents
definitions:
RANGE:difference between the greatest and least number in the data
MODE: the number that occurs the most in the data
MEDIAN: the middle number in the set of data ordered least to greatest (if two numbers are in the middle then you must add the two and then divide by two)
and this is how you would do this if what you meant was the maximum range for the data is 8, the mode is 6, and the median is 5
ok well you have to order the list that you are creating from least to greatest. the difference between the first and last (least and greastest) numbers must equal 8 or less (max. 8 range). the number six MUST occur the most in the set of data (mode 6). the middle number in the set (again stressing that they must be ordered from least to greatest) MUST be 5 (median 5)
please tell me if this is confusing
Wow, I'm ten trying to find the answer to this haha.
