for the first one, why not graph the parabola ?
hint: it has x-intercepts of (0,) and (4,0)
now check in your textbook or notebook what it says about even and odd functions in relation to their graphs.
for the second, I suggest you make a table of values, graph it, and draw your conclusion from that.
