This question is from a textbook THE AMERICANS.
1.What geographical feature determined the western boundaries of the Southern and Middle colonies?
2. How did the New englnad and Middle colonies economies differ in general from the economy of the South? What may accounted for this difference?

P.S. The southern colonies did not wish to use the Río Grande as the western boundary. Maryland and Pennsylvania squabbled over their boundaries.
