You work in the hospital's health information management department. Part of your job is to assist the medical residents with completing records documentation. One of the residents complains that he doesnt understand why insurance ccompanies need so much documentation and the reimbursement system is so complex. What is a good responce

Your doctumentation will be the proof your insurance company needs to determine, first of all, whether they must pay or the other's insurance. They have to personalize their base price for your specific circumstances. If you don't tell them everything your policy will be cancelled. Also, all insurance companies allow a certain number of claims (mine only allowed ONE!) before they drop you.

The remuneration, of course, depends upon your deductible, who must cover the costs, etc. All companies are in business to make money, not lose it!
