well i was thinking that if the ecotone were to be polluted it would be able to sustain this pollution for a period of time due to the biodiversity. But, i was thiniking that eventually this pollution would spread to the surrounding ecozones and would affect them greatly due to the less biodiversity they have. I guess I could also say that this pollution may spread through animals that would eventually travel to surrounding ecozones and cause pollution in the food chain? but i guess the pollution could also spread through the air eventually as well as water ways ect.?
