Artistic efforts were slow to develop in colonies for the following reasons except:
a. there was no strong esthetic tradition there
b. american colonists lacked artistic ability
c. wealth and leisure was slow to develip and as it did religion and ploitics recieved priority
d. colonists lacked the money to strongly support the arts
e. training had to be completed in england
