I am trying to find examples of the similar as well as the differing roles that home, society, and
school play in today’s educational system.
Determine how—as an educational professional—you will enhance these relationships
for the benefit of your students.
I have read what I was suppose to, but I guess I have missed it some where.
The home prepares the child for school, assures adequate nutrition, encourages good study habits, and sets educational goals for the child. When the home doesn't support the schools, the students suffer.
Society applies peer pressure on a student's academic achievement. This may be negative or positive.
The school's responsibility is to educate each child. This may be difficult or impossible if the home or specific culture doesn't cooperate. Schools may need to drastically change methods to accomplish its goals.
My ideal scenario is to involve each family from the birth of each child through high school in the child's education. This means health care for all, prenatal care, helping parents with infant care, and preschool starting at age 3.
Your question is what can you do as an educational professional to benefit your students.
Listen to them. Understand their culture. Set goals for them. Follow through. Reward them when they succeed. Help them when they fall behind.
Thank you very much
