I have to upload a paper I typed on my computer and upload(send) it to another computer. I have a laptop Microsoft XP Professional. How do I do this? thank you.

Darlene

The real question is what word processing program did you use for this paper? Word? Notepad? Works? Wordpad? What?

You can do this as an attachment in an email or by copying it onto a "flash drive" (one of those little USB drives that you can use to transport files).

You can also upload files by means of certain websites if your teacher has given you the web address and whatever username and password you'd need.

Thank you for your answer on how to upload a document. I am typing the document on word pad and I would like to upload it from there.

To upload and send a paper from your Microsoft XP Professional laptop to another computer, you have a couple of options depending on the preferred method of transmission:

Method 1: Email
1. Open your email client on your laptop (such as Microsoft Outlook or Mozilla Thunderbird).
2. Compose a new email.
3. Attach the file to the email by clicking on the "Attach" or paperclip icon within the email composition window.
4. Browse your computer to locate the paper you want to upload, select it, and click "Open" to attach it to the email.
5. Enter the recipient's email address in the "To" field.
6. Add a subject and any desired message in the designated fields.
7. Click "Send" to deliver the email along with the attached paper to the other computer.

Method 2: File Transfer
1. Connect both computers to the same local network (e.g., via Wi-Fi or Ethernet).
2. On your laptop, locate the paper you want to transfer.
3. Right-click on the file and select "Copy" to copy the file to the clipboard.
4. On the other computer, navigate to the desired location where you want to save the paper.
5. Right-click in the destination folder and select "Paste" to transfer the file from your laptop to the other computer.
6. Wait for the file transfer to complete, and then you can access the paper on the other computer.

Method 3: USB Flash Drive
1. Insert a USB flash drive into your laptop's USB port.
2. Locate the paper on your laptop.
3. Right-click on the file and select "Copy" to copy the file to the clipboard.
4. Open "My Computer" or "This PC" on your laptop and double-click on the USB flash drive to open it.
5. Right-click inside the USB flash drive folder and select "Paste" to transfer the paper onto the USB drive.
6. Safely remove the USB flash drive from your laptop.
7. Insert the USB flash drive into the other computer's USB port.
8. Open "My Computer" or "This PC" on the other computer and double-click on the USB flash drive to access its contents.
9. Copy the paper from the USB flash drive to a desired location on the other computer.

With these methods, you can successfully upload and send your paper from your Microsoft XP Professional laptop to another computer.
