I try to be aware of how my body language and tone of voice affect the audience.
An amusing example was my final speech in a college class. I was 8 1/2 months pregnant and I'm afraid my young, male instructor was scared to death that I was going to deliver on the spot. Anyway, he gave me the highest grade in the class on my speech. <g>
