Write an operational definitoin for each underlined idea in the space provided.

The first sentence is..

List the plants found in the ecosystem, with the smallest one first.

Smallest one is underlined.

So what in wondering is what is an operational definition?

That would be one way to define "smallest one." It is also the most practical meaning.
