which of the following represents a change from 32 to 40?
a- an increase of 20%
b- an increase of 25%
c- an increase of 8%
d- a decrease of 20%

i don't want to know the answer to the question i would just like to know how to solve it. please help! thank you!!

    i remember correctly i had this on one of my homeworks . 40-32 = 8 therefore 8%

    because if you subtract 40 - 8%

    Percent change=(final-initial)/initial * 100
    = (40-32)/32 *100
