Homework Help: Algebra

Posted by Amanda on Saturday, August 2, 2008 at 10:07pm.

I just wanted to verify the answer I came up with.

Solve by the substitution method.

5x+2y=-31
x=-3-2y

What is the solution of the system?

y=2
x=-7

The ordered pair would be (-7,2)
