I had trouble posting a response the first time around.

However, thank you to those who responded to my inquiry regarding Texas Pride.
Interestingly, I came across a hairdresser who lived in Michigan most of her life. She told me that people in Texas are friendlier and she has no plans to return to her home state.
I haven't run across any "big mouths"...though there is a lot of big hair (chuckle).
The bluebonnets and Indian paintbrush are a sight for sore eyes. I highly recommend a visit to the hill country in the spring or even a tour of the Alamo.
Perhaps you should schedule a visit, GuruBlue.
Bye y'all.

Hi there! It's great to hear that you had a positive experience and found people in Texas to be friendly. It's always interesting to hear different perspectives and experiences from people who have lived in different places.

If you're interested in visiting Texas and experiencing the beauty of the hill country in the spring or exploring historical sites like the Alamo, there are a few steps you can take:

1. Plan your itinerary: Decide how long you want to stay and what specific places or attractions you want to visit. Research the hill country and the Alamo to get an idea of what you would like to see and do.

2. Book accommodations: Look for hotels or other accommodations in the area you want to visit. You can use popular travel websites or apps to find options that match your budget and preferences.

3. Transportation: Figure out how you'll get to Texas and how you'll move around once you're there. If you're flying, book your flight in advance. If you'll be driving, plan your route and make necessary arrangements for rental cars or other transportation options.

4. Learn more about the destinations: Before you go, it's always helpful to gather more information about the places you plan to visit. Look for tourist guides, websites, or even contact local tourist information centers to get recommendations and details about specific attractions, opening hours, and any special events or festivals happening during your visit.

5. Pack accordingly: Consider the weather and activities you'll engage in during your visit. Texas can have varied weather patterns, so make sure to pack clothing suitable for the season and any outdoor activities you plan to participate in.

Remember, it's always a good idea to plan in advance, especially during peak travel seasons. Enjoy your visit to Texas and have a great time exploring everything it has to offer!
