A disabled person seeking employment is unable to access Worldwide Airline’s employment site on their website, as their disability limits their ability to navigate Worldwide’s website. The individual files suit, claiming that their website is a place of public accommodation and therefore covered under the American with Disabilities Act, and that failure to make the website “friendly” to disabled persons constitutes discrimination in employment. State the fundamentals of the American with Disabilities Act with relationship to employment opportunity, and how these laws impact the human resources professional. How do you think this case should be decided?
