The median is the number in the middle. First, put the numbers in order:
12, 13, 14, 16, 17, 27, 27
Now find the number that falls in the middle.
2 numbers fall in the middle. 14 and 16
Only 16 is in the middle. Three numbers are below 16 and three numbers are above 16.
