1 mile = about 1.61 km.
Multiply: 25,000 * 1.61 = ? km
1 km = 1,000 m
Multiply your km answer by 1,000.
To be more accurate for the meters --
1 mile = 1 609.344 meters
Multiply: 25,000 * 1,609.344 = ? m
ok um im still a little confused.
is kg and km the same thing as kilometers?
and...
are those the steps you gave me to figure it out?
kg = kilogram (measures mass)
km = kilometer (measures distance)
Yes. Follow the steps I gave you to find the answers.
thanks for clearing that up for me!
when i multiplied km by 1000 i ended up getting 40250000
but when i mutiplied 25000x1609.344 i ended up getting 40233600
Which one is the right answer?
The more accurate answer is 40,233,600 meters. But many teachers would probably accept the other answer, also.
