Whis the pronouncation difference between le and leur? Its really hard to tell.

Thank you for using the Jiskha Homework Help Forum.

    "le" rhymes with "uh"

"leur " sounds also like "heure" in French but there is a faint "r" sound ("urr")

Unfortunately the audio dictionary that used to be online no longer works with my computer. Get your teacher, or a native French-speaking person, to pronounce each word several times and tape that if you can.

P.S. Here is a French Audio Dictionary that should work.

    http://french.about.com/library/media/wavs/le.wav

Click on the letter "l" and then slide down to "le" because when you click on that you will hear the sound.

Now, because leur is not there, click on "l'heure" and listen to that.
