How do I increase a column in access. My headings are on top of one another.

Put your cursor in the heading row on one of the lines between columns. The cursor should turn into a double-headed arrow. Then hold down the left mouse key and drag the column division where you want it.

Remember -- in any Microsoft Office program -- when you need to know how to do something, press the F1 key for help.

Thank you. I forgot, kept looking for the animated clip....

You're welcome!

To increase the width of a column in Microsoft Access, you can follow these steps:

1. Open your Access database and navigate to the table or query containing the column you want to resize.
2. Locate the column heading that needs adjustment and move your cursor to the right edge of the column heading until it becomes a double-sided arrow.
3. Click and hold the left mouse button while dragging the cursor to the right to increase the column width. You should see the column width expand as you drag.
4. Release the mouse button once you have reached the desired column width.
5. Repeat these steps for any other columns you need to resize.

If your column headings are on top of one another, it's possible that the row height might need to be adjusted. To do so, follow these additional steps:

1. Click on the row selector (the gray box on the left side of the row) to select the entire row.
2. Move your cursor to the lower edge of the row selector until it becomes a double-sided arrow.
3. Click and hold the left mouse button while dragging the cursor downward to increase the row height.
4. Release the mouse button once you have reached the desired row height.

By adjusting both the column width and row height, you should be able to fix the issue of overlapping column headings in Access.
