when did charles darwin find out about evolution?

    It was an ongoing process. Apparently, he began thinking about evolution as early as 1831 at the beginning of the voyage to the Galapagos Islands. He published Origin of the Species in 1859.

    useful. It is a short book and easy to read. It has a time line and also includes information about others who were thinking along the same lines at the time.
