when did charles darwin find out about evolution?
It was an ongoing process. Apparently, he began thinking about evolution as early as 1831 at the beginning of the voyage to the Galapagos Islands. He published Origin of the Species in 1859.
When he went on the "HMS Beagle" expedition to the Galapagos Islands of Ecuador, and just afterwards. The time was 1831-1837
