A cylindrical tank has a height of 8 feet and a diameter of 2 3/4 feet.
Use pi= 3.14
What is the lateral surface area? 69.08 square feet
What is the lateral surface area ? 828.96 square inches
How do i find:
If a quart of paint covers 100 square feet, how many quarts of paint will be needed to paint the lateral surface area of the tank? quart(s) (Round to the nearest whole quart)
Are the ones above correct ?

Lateral surface area does not include the ends. I get an area of 47.5 ft^2
Don't use more than 3 significant figures since that is all you are using when you say pi = 3.14.
Since there is less than 100 ft^2 area, one quart of paint should be enough.
