How much will you spend on gas to travel 400 miles in a car that gets 30 miles to the gallon? The price of gas is $2. 33 a gallon

400 miles *(1 gallon/30 miles) = (40/3) gallon for trip

(40/3) gallons * ($2.33 /gallon) =$31.07
