Write the equation for the reaction of each of the following with water.

a) HCl
b) CH3COOH
c) NaOH
d) NH3

Are these correct?

a. HCl (aq) + H2O (l) --> H3O+ (aq) + Cl- (aq)

b. CH3COOH (aq) + H2O (l) --> CH3COO- (aq) + H3O+ (aq)

c. NaOH (aq) + H2O (l) --> Na+ + OH- + H2O
[I don't know how I would write it...]

d. NH3 (aq) + H2O (l) --> NH4+ (aq) + OH- (aq)
